Metaxa é uma bebida grega destilada inventada por Spyros Metaxas em 1888. É uma mistura de brandy, especiarias e vinho. O rótulo mostra uma Salaminomaho (lutador de Salamina), uma figura de um trirreme grego antigo que foi esculpida nesta moeda desse período, encontrada durante a escavação da primeira fábrica em Pireu, em 1888. Metaxa ganhou várias medalhas de ouro em competições internacionais. Muito aromática e acessível.

Metaxa is a distilled Greek spirit invented by Spyros Metaxas in 1888. It is a mixture of brandy, spices and wine. The label shows a Salaminomaho (Salamina fighter), a figure of an ancient Greek trireme that was carved on this period coin, found during the excavation of the first factory in Piraeus in 1888. Metaxa has won several gold medals in international competitions. Very aromatic and accessible.
